2006 Century 21 Home Run Derby

This year’s Home Run Derby fundraiser was, yet again, a tremendous success.  The event, which was held on July 10th at the 755 Club inside of Turner Field in downtown Atlanta, attracted nearly 400 attendees.  A live auction, silent auction and raffle were among the many exciting fundraising activities hosted at this event.  We are very grateful to the local businesses that donated products and/or services to be auctioned which ranged in value from ten dollars to over one thousand dollars and generated close to one third of the night’s total proceeds.

Local Century 21 agents were instrumental to the evening’s success, planning the event and securing sponsors before the night even began.  Century 21 Across Atlanta and Century 21 Brenda Brock & Associates each were responsible for registering over 60 guests at this year’s Home Run Derby.  Year after year, the local Century 21 agents take on a tremendous portion of the workload associated with this event.  This year, nearly twenty Century 21 offices participated by purchasing corporate sponsorships and providing items to be auctioned throughout the evening.  For that effort, we’d like to thank the following Century 21 agencies:  Across Atlanta, Ann Boggs & Associates, Brenda Brock & Associates, Bryant Realty, Farish, Findley Real Estate, Gold Medal, John Hanes Realty, Keystone Realty, Paramount, Poss, Professional Realty Group, Southern Crescent, South Pointe Realty, and Walden & Company.

Of every dollar Easter Seals North Georgia receives, 93.3% goes directly to program services.  “The money raised at this event will be used to support the 825 children enrolled in our early childhood education centers” said Donna Davidson, president and CEO.  Overall, funds raised this year were 24% greater than what was generated through the Home Run Derby event in 2005.  We are already looking forward to making next year’s event even more successful.
